Advisor Profile

Randy L. Flink

Registered Investment Advisor

Mr. Flink founded Championship Financial Advisors in 1991 with a vision of providing fee-based financial and investment advisory services to clients.  At the time, commission-based compensation was the norm in the financial services industry, but Mr. Flink recognized the inherent conflicts of interest that routinely arose as financial professionals scripted financial plans and investment strategies that earned them commissions on financial products (e.g., load mutual funds, insurance policies) purchased by clients in fulfillment of these plans and strategies.

In the early years, Championship Financial Advisors served primarily the professional sports community.  Today, the firm attracts and serves a diversified client base that includes individuals engaged in medicine, real estate, law and small business ownership.

Prior to forming Championship Financial Advisors, Mr. Flink spent 15 years working for large financial institutions and was involved in several small business start-ups.  In 1988, he was a founding partner of the HOOP-IT-UP 3-on-3 Basketball World Tour.

During his professional career, Mr. Flink has served assignments in Great Britain, the Netherlands, Italy, Hong Kong and Japan. This overseas experience has contributed greatly to Mr. Flink’s vast knowledge of global economic and political trends, which forms the cornerstone of Mr. Flink's investment philosophy.

Mr. Flink maintains the professional designation of Registered Investment Advisor.  He earned a BS degree from Washington and Lee University and an MBA from the University of Michigan.

Mr. Flink is married with 2 children and resides in Dallas, Texas.  Mr. Flink’s original hometown is Chicago, Illinois.
